Poetic Kinetics Workshop

Magneetti presents a 3-day workshop on sound and image.
4-6.11.2011, Rovaniemi

Workshop leaders: Dave Lawrence (UK) and Matti Niinimaki (FIN)

This three-day workshop will bring together a team that combines artistic essence and technological innovation. The goal is to create an interesting in immersive experience that will be staged as part of the Vitus festival (11-12 November 2011) in Rovaniemi. We will be experimenting with Kinect motion tracking systems, software programming, and devices, to manipulate sound and light (and maybe other things!).

We invite participation by media technologists, performance artists, writers, composers, visual artists, programmers, engineers - and anyone in-between or beyond. This is a multidisciplinary workshop, and exactly what is created will depend on who participates.

Workshop prices:
Magneetti members: FREE!
Non-members: €20

Maximum 12 participants.
Application deadline: October 28th, 2011.

- liitteeksi CV

Jäsenet hyväksyy hakemusten perusteella yhdistyksen hallitus. Jäsenmaksun suuruus vuonna 2011 10 €.

INSIDE / OUTSIDE esittelee joukon teoksia, joissa tutkitaan ulkopuolisuuden ja kuulumisen kokemuksia ja niiden välisiä rajapintoja. Teokset ovat esillä Rovaniemen keskustan tyhjissä liiketiloissa ja näyteikkunoissa. Näyttelykeskus ja osa teoksista sijaitsee Sampokeskuksessa, josta saa opaskartan näyttelyyn.
